Jamison H. Cooper
Like Dan, Jami has spent her career as a litigator, handling cases involving commercial disputes, insurance coverage, insurance disputes and personal injury matters. Jami represents lawyers and other professionals such as nurses, accountants and appraisers in connection with disciplinary matters and lawsuits against them alleging malpractice, breach of contract and other claims based on their provision of professional services. Laura Smith serves as the firm’s office manager and administrative assistant. In that position, Laura’s role includes providing litigation support for the firm and its clients. Laura was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay area. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies from the California State University, Chico, California, where she also completed the Paralegal Certificate course. Laura completed internships with the Community Legal Information Center, a student-run non-profit organization providing legal information to students and members of the community, and for the Sonoma County Law Library. While she was in California, Laura worked as a paralegal at an asbestos litigation firm. As a litigation project assistant at a global intellectual property firm in San Francisco, she assisted with document management in complex cases. Laura is involved with the local chapter of the GFWC Bridgeport Junior Women’s Club where she served as the Education Chair for five years. Laura enjoys running, reading, knitting, traveling and spending time with her husband and children and their dog, Zuzu.
Shannon Gibson is a litigation paralegal with the firm. Shannon comes to the firm with a background in education, having earned a Master of Arts degree in Educational Media and Technology. Before beginning her career as a paralegal, Shannon served as an English teacher in the Michigan Public School System and as an English Expert for Westwood Cyber High School. Shannon has a keen investigative sense and is extremely efficient in her work. Shannon is a member of the GFWC Junior Women’s Club, having previously served as the club’s President. She earned the distinction, through the votes of club members throughout the State, of being the GFWC Volunteer of the Year. Shannon lives in Bridgeport with her husband and their two children. Prior to their time in Bridgeport, Shannon and her family lived in Canton, Michigan.
